This looks cool 😎 they seem to be selling these all over Amazon in the $60 range on sale. The better ones push more amps it looks like.

15amp charging is just so so. I just picked up a 30 amp charger a couple weeks ago for about the same price and it seemed like there was many to choose from at that price. https://www.amazon.com/LiFePO4-Ma...r=8-8&th=1

A lot of these newer charges won't charge batteries 100% dead or close to it. They always have some issue doing it

I've noticed most of them have dead battery 'wake-up' feature built in. Seems to actually be almost a standard feature with most modern 12v chargers. A lot of times they'll call it a "repair cycle" or "wake-up" but it's pretty common, even on the cheaper chargers.

Could I charge a 40v lawn tool battery with this? If I use wire connectors that plug into the positive and negative in the battery?

Short answer is no.

Only if the 40v lawn tool battery is not actually 40 volts, and is instead the 12 volt or 24 volt type that this charger is compatible with. More importantly that 40v tool is almost guaranteed to be lithium rather than lead acid, and this charger only supports conventional lead acid batteries. If you try it anyway though, do it outside and take pictures.
