I've enjoyed my blackstone but this is pretty much the smallest basic version. If you have a good setup where this would fit in but feels like there are limitations to size, no hood etc. that paying more for more may be better
If I have an electric griddle that seems to work fine indoors, is this useful?
So I bought the $55 3-burner outdoor one last week. So far, the breakfast tacos now taste similar to ones you buy at gas stations/food trucks. I don't know if it's the combination of flavors, or the surface. If it's just the combination of flavors, an indoor griddle should give the same result.
One thing I noticed is cutting my cook time in half: cooking all the bacon pieces I need in 1 go (instead of multiple "rounds" on the stove) and 4 tortillas instead of 1 at a time. The griddle I have may be able to cook more than the pan, but still slower than the outdoor one I got.

Thanks for the detailed response. Think I'll pass for now
I also bought that 3 burner $55 basic grill on Amazon last week. Quite amaze how fast it cooked the food and I was quite surprised how it tasted.
I can't imagine having one burner will be able to cook the food fast and hot. Yes, this Blackstone does have a name to it but still it is a single burner.

Glad someone else who bought that $55 chimed in. I have never used a blackstone so I'm not sure about the quality but I can imagine that if the flat-top was engineered better (for better heat dissipation) and the burner was also engineered better, the experience of using this product may be as good or better than our 3-burner.
On my $55 the cooking area, for example, there seems to have valleys where oil pools. Furthermore, heat dissipation is poor with about 4" on top & bottom that don't seem to heat up compared to the middle.
Blackstones seem to be proud to share the image where heat is dissipated very evenly throughout the cooking area. Of course, I don't know if that's factual or marketing.

Is the $55 burner just as small as this one? Size matters to me. I prefer the smaller size.

My question would be if I hooked this up on NG if it would be OK to cook indoors on/near the stove where there's a vent.
