I have some of these. The frames are perfectly strong, the "wood" shelves are flimsy. BUT what isn't shown is they have center braces and sit on a metal lip round all 4 edges. You have to really put something small and super heavy to break it, but large objects, no problem. So, it's both strong and flimsy at the same time lol.

100% agree. I replaced the "wood" with wood and anchored the shelf to the wall

I just bought one of these from Walmart for $59. Easy to put together and it is strong. Note that it's not great for a damp location or for storing wet items, because the shelves are made of MDF.
