It really does suck when you have stick drift; it's something you can't fix. I personally never had issues with PS controllers, but the only time I experienced it was with the Nintendo Pro controllers. Either way, this looks like a good deal since it comes with the charging dock.

If you treat your controllers like shit. Meanwhile I have 4 of these which I've had since I bought my PS5 in 2021, and they all work great, with literally no drift.

Use but, above all, poor use. They are bound to eventually get it, especially if you play a lot, but to say "drift city" imo is more indicative of poor use

I would imagine the controllers being dropped head on to the thumb sticks probably kills them faster. With regular use it should not happen quick, if at all.

I've had 2 ps5 controllers with stick drift over 3 years of owning a ps5, and I just play single player games and I'm not chucking my controller or anything. I don't even game that much. I can't imagine it's rough usage by me, like I'm playing horizon / sackboy / astrobot etc not some crazy esports thing.

Same. Third controller just succumbed to the drift. Controllers have never been mishandled and I'm mostly playing slower stuff that doesn't need twitch camera movement.

Never had drift on any of my controllers in the past until the PS5.

They use cheap potentiometers that get gunked up too fast. There's hundreds of videos on repairing/cleaning them so it is a common issue.

i'm probably going to pick up soldering again and just replace them with TMR sticks. Sick of buying new controllers, and I'd like to have something future-proof(as much as it can be) for when they stop manufacturing them.

6 years in. Same 2 controllers. No drift.

Maybe some of you need to accept the fact: the way you game is the reason you need new controllers.

No worries. We all have bad habits. Just don't be blaming PlayStation when there's people telling you it's not them.

Why so expensive? Just buy from Aliexpress. You can get a very decent one for like 12 dollars.
