At this price range, you buy a Macbook Pro instead. Remember Macbook Air has no cooling fans so if you are doing rigorous task, it will most likely throttle. Macbook Pro cost $1500 and this is $1300. It makes no sense to buy this.

I have an M1 Pro Max with 32 GB and 12 tabs open and I need to restart it everyday because it slows down as hell

They don't care. Your chip is an old generation. That's what they care. When did M1 Pro Max come out? 2021? That's already almost 6 years old. You can have 128GB and it will still lag because they programmed your system to do so.

LOL. I know they don't but it is perfect for what I have been using it for, and would keep it for another 5 more years. All I am trying to say is that I have another 16GB machine but is actually useless with 10 tabs open at the same time. The 32 GB should be the standards nowadays.

go get a M4 pro max. It will have 0 lag... trust. Even with 8GB ram. Apple is playing with you.
