how to cut down emails and duplicates

HI,
Ive been here a long time and Love Slickdeals but I'm trying to cut down on the number of emails I get each day. I must get 12-15 per day. Many are irrelavant. Like I get tons of ones for sneakers. I also get duplicates.
I love the deals but want to cut down on the duplications and irrelavent ones. I've gone through and deleted a bunch of alerts a few weeks ago but no reducion in emails.
Any ideas?

If you scroll down to the bottom of those emails, there is a section that has this blurb:
Why did you get this?
This deal matched your alert for "xxxxx".
You can use that section to remove deal alerts that may be overlapping each other.
