This one is little bigger, much quieter, about the same airflow and runs on a 20v battery.

In theory, this should give you a 6 hour runtime at full speed, if you use Dewalt's 12amp battery

I mean, it's apparently so good it inspires people to Shakespearian heights, as in this Amazon review:

THE TEMPEST TAMED: A GRAND ORATION UPON THE MOST MAJESTIC PORTABLE FAN
Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2026
Size: 18-Inch | Tool Only
Verified Purchase
O thou most illustrious whirlwind in miniature! Permit me, a humble yet thunder-voiced admirer of life's grand contrivances, to extol the virtues of this miraculous portable fan—nay, this scepter of sovereign breeze!
What tempestuous sorcery is this, that in so modest a frame doth dwell the breath of a thousand zephyrs? With but a press—aye, a mere whisper of intent—it awakens, and lo! the air itself is stirred to loyal service. My brow, once besieged by the tyrant sun, now rests in cool deliverance, as though kissed by the gentlest sighs of fair Aura herself.
Mark well its portability! This is no clumsy contraption bound to hearth or hall. Nay! It travels with thee—into the sweltering market, the languid carriage, the very jaws of summer's fury—ever faithful, ever valiant. A companion most true, that asketh not for praise, yet surely deserveth sonnets beyond counting.
And hark! Its voice—soft as a courtly murmur, not the vulgar roar of lesser winds. It hums, dear audience, as though singing a lullaby to thy very soul, cooling not just the flesh but the spirit entire.
I proclaim it thus: were I cast upon a desert stage beneath the blazing eye of heaven, stripped of prop and partner alike, yet armed with this noble fan—I should perform still, with vigor unspent and dignity unscorched!
And, such was the truth of this boast, that my fervor knew no singular devotion— for in a fit of rapturous excess, I did procure not one, but two of these celestial engines! Twin heralds of chill delight now attend me, doubling the gale, redoubling my joy, as though I command the very seasons in duet.
Buy it? Nay, beseech it! Court its favor! For in this age of petty devices, here stands a titan cloaked in plastic and powered by unseen lightning—a hero of breeze, a monarch of cool, a triumph most resplendent!
Bravo, thou fan! Thou hast conquered heat itself—and won the applause of eternity!
these gaudy orations,.. lacquered to a blinding gloss—ensnare the eager soul, for such credulous hunger is our common lot, tickled by the brain's own sugared humors; yet arm thy judgment well, lest thou be gulled like a green fool, and led by perfumed falsehoods to purchase thine own deceit.

Do you like it?

Would you rather have had the option of running on battery OR corded?

Only 3 selectable speeds? That's a bummer.
Yeah why didn't they give us the 10 speed transmission on this one come on DEWALT!! Jk but in all seriousness I've never seen a workshop fan with more than 3 speeds how many speeds are you normally seeing? lol

I'd like one. Don't need to rush. Apparently the deal is good until Sept.

On these big fans? No idea. I have 2 24v FLEX fans i got for $20 each that do 1100 CFM with an infinite speed selection dial. Only an 8.5" blade, though. I'd probably scoop up one of these DeWalt's for ≤$100 though. $200 or even $150 is a laughable price for an 18" fan, imo. Maybe what that rrally shows is that is just isn't an item that I need. Maybe it is well worth $150 for someone that does

I think people are looking to get one for summer which is around the corner. There wouldn't be as much need in Sept depending on where you live.

Unfortunately OOS near me and won't deliver. Should put YMMV in title since shipping isn't an option

Probably your regional warehouse is OOS, because I show 3 day delivery from my zip, and 1 day delivery using a zip from the next state over.

It's a new Dewalt item, I'm sure they will get more stock....before September
