The self-empty feature seems useful, but I'm more curious how reliable the navigation is after a few months of use.

Shark makes the worst major brand of robot vacuums. Trust me, I just got rid of mine. Navigation/mapping is a joke. Roborock and Eufy make reasonable priced very good robot vacuums

I tried mapping my living house 3 times with a shark vacuum, and every time it didn't map the whole house. Bought a Eufy after that, it mapped my house quickly and accurately the first time

If you bought a refurbished or old model it could just be the battery. I got a new battery after market on Amazon and it fixed that issue

Eufy is no better.... had the original battery die almost immediately and it doesn't last long before needing to recharge...

Absolutely, mapping is a joke. I ask it to vacuum living room and it starts vacuuming bathroom - almost always. Already deleted and mapped my home 3-4 times. Support is useless. Do not buy shark

These things are garbage, doesn't map right, cleans all over the place without patterns, never finds the dock. Roborock is the best on the market

All I ever hear from people I know that bought the Shark robot (usually the model Costco used to carry) vac is regret. At least you can always return it to Costco. The price is certainly right on this deal, but is there anyone here that actually owns this specific model that would recommend it? UPDATE: Never mind, after research and reading the Amazon reviews on this model, 16% of buyers rate it 1 star, and an average of 1, 2, & 3 stars, 31% rate it poorly. Looks like another Shark loser.

I have a cheaper version that is not self emptying and it has worked well. The mapping is alright other than it learned to make some weird V before it leaves one of my rooms but it's not the worst thing in the world. It cleans well for a cheaper robot vacuum and has lasted 2 years for me.

All above comments are valid. Shark vacuum is garbage. Mine worked a few times and died with hair tangled.

I have the Matrix. I have not had mapping issues.... however I have had mopping issues. After several months it does not release water. I googled, and it is a common problem. The last time I had to do a hard reset that took about 40 mins. It is now back to not releasing any water. It also has to be reinstalled on my phone every few months. It's rather frustrating for what we paid for it.

Have this and room mapping is great along with marking "No-Go Zones" "Carpet Zones" so that it doesn't mop...always makes it back to the dock to charge and dump. This is better than ones that I've had in the past.

I bought this for $100. Mopping on this robot is not a thing. You have to refill for every room. I had to purchase roborock which has auto refill
