I have been eyeing this for the past few weeks, waiting for a Memorial day sale (which never happened). Worse, the Cuisinart website changed from low stock to discontinued earlier this week. While there are many other online stores that have this in stock, they ship "directly from vendor" which seems like a gamble. From what I see, there is no updated model but please correct me if wrong.
I was able to place an order on Home Depot and got a shipping confirmation last night. Not a SlickDeal in terms of price, but maybe in terms of availability in case you are looking to get one and do not want to pay reseller pricing later on.

I do not know why it's being discontinued but it's been on the market for quite a while now (maybe overs 5 years?).

it's been rotting in my garage since december. i actually got 2. amazon accidentally sent me 2 for some reason. told them to pick it up and they told me to keep it ....
i'll be out of the town the next couple months and probably won't use it until september or something
