This is a $3500 coffee machine which is on sale for $3200 with a free $1200 grinder! If you need both, you're getting a steal here (I was looking at an apartmento and a grinder for $3200, this is $1000 more machine for the same price).

Damn. I spent $400 on a bambino plus and $350 on a Eureka Mignon Zero grinder.
Maybe next decade I will be able to invest that kind of coin on a better setup
That setup should allow you to make better espresso than any chain shop once you get your routine dialed in.
That's a great thing.
Better equipment will let you make even better espresso, but like most hobbies, the returns are diminishing as you rise in quality, expense, and time. We all get to choose our own "this is good" spot. You're already going to be enjoying better coffee than most people. That's a great thing :-)
There is definitely diminishing returns, coffee is my one splurge, and hoping this is a buy once run for 10 years set up.
With even minimal care this setup is capable of lasting much longer. I bought a La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi from Chris's in 2012. Only this year have I had to replace a few components - brew pump and hot water spigot - both had issues likely due to scale buildup (we have hard water here, and I use a softener, but they can only do so much.) Replacement parts were fairly affordable, and I got to wrench a bit in the guts of my machine, which was a kind of fun. Now it'll probably go another 10 years without issue.
I was thankful for the machine every single day of Covid. I've easily made my money back versus buying coffee from even specialty shops.
Even I'm tempted by this deal, but like my 12 year old Weber BBQ, everything works great...replacing them would get me something shinier and new...but...probably about the same level of deliciousness, so...hard to make the leap.

I'm still using my ECM Giotto and red head Weber Genesis 1000, both from the late 90's. I love things that last (although I have done frame-off restorations on both).

It's nice to have workhorses you can repair if you choose. I went through a couple of Saeco super-auto's before my La Spaziale, and a couple of Sears and Costco BBQ's before my Weber. My Weber is from the series that has the burners going E-W rather than N-S - that and a sear station are the biggest motivators to upgrade. But it ain't broke, so ... so far, I can't bring myself to "fix it."
Dann, I was hoping to some day upgrade to dual boiler from my Rocket Giotto V, but can't justify this kind of splurge. I suppose I can sell the grinder (already have Niche Zero and Duo) and my Giotto V and it would offset it by some but it is still going to be over $2K more than I can afford right now.
