The Moto Razr Fold 2026 stands out as a big battery foldable with 16GB RAM on the 512GB model, and the promo can make it effectively free only on qualifying T-Mobile plans with 24 months of bill credits. The strongest appeal is for people who already need Experience Beyond or similar high-tier service, especially for the 250GB hotspot and prioritized data. The main drawbacks are the heavy bloatware, reported app hijacking behavior, and concerns about slower updates and foldable durability. The deal also carries taxes, plan costs, and possible early payoff penalties, so the real value depends on whether the service fits your needs.

Common Questions (5)

  • It is not truly free because you still pay for the required service and taxes. Several comments estimate the effective cost at roughly $2,400 over 24 months on a $100+ monthly plan, even though the device itself is covered by bill credits.

  • The promo is tied to T-Mobile's Experience Beyond plan, with legacy Go5G Next also mentioned as eligible in the thread. One commenter says T-Mobile support told them it was only for new lines, while another says the account flow showed full price when the plan requirement was not met.

  • Yes, the phone is reported to ship with a lot of bloatware, and one comment says it can randomly open apps on its own. Another warns that Motorola's app-hijacking behavior should be fully debloated or avoided, so the practical fix is to remove unwanted apps and test the device carefully.

  • The no-trade-in offer does not require a trade-in, but a separate promo in the thread does. The qualifying offer is tied to staying on an eligible T-Mobile plan and keeping the line active for 24 months, with the phone paid through monthly bill credits.

  • The 512GB model has 16GB of RAM. That makes it the higher-memory configuration in the thread's discussion of the phone's specs.

They issued a public statement, that was an error and it has been fixed - but yes, any Chinese brand connected to the Internet definitely needs thorough testing (not saying made in China products)
Lenovo really has a poor track record. This is not their first time, and it won't be the last time, either. I'm saying this as a ThinkPad user, BTW. Hopefully, Motorola/Lenovo's upcoming GrapheneOS collaboration will change this.

I have a Thinkphone and it's awesome. Is the foldable based on the same concept?

And ironically, they're partnering with Lenovo/Motorola. But I'd still pick any Motorola phone over Pixel phone any day of the week.

Phone is not free guys. I pay 20 dollars everything is unlimited. T-Mobile wants to charge me 100 dollars plus taxes and fees a month for 2 years.... If you cancel, you will pay the full phone's price. Same old Tmobile.. is it promoted here? Why is it in Slickdeals this one is a very thick deal
