GN's latest longform video talks with the head of Corsair pretty extensively, and it's grim for PC part makers like this. The price of components means people just aren't building PCs at the same rate, and some of their lines are down 80-90%. Some can switch to more corporate orders, but given the length of their manufacturing pipeline many are stuck with months of inventory, so expect a combo of deals and eventual closures/mergers, with less diversity going forward and little light on the horizon.

That's a bummer. People will end up having to buy laptops and mini PCs and PC gaming industry will die off.

Wow that's sobering. That being said if this case came with fans, I would do my part and buy it.

Good thing they have resisted for so long. I am expecting a flood of closure sales and have seen none.

Yes, building PCs from here on out is going to be a pure hobbyist thing rather than a way to save money. The people who still build at home will be doing it purely for the fun and customization of it. Shame, but you can thank AI and the industries pushing for this.

Never heard of this company, and there are only a few reviews on TrustPilot. Of the 3 reviews, one stated exactly what you just said... "This website is a total waste of time, they canceled my order on a wild hunch." Some Reditor's have described them as a dropship company. If they run a "deal" up the flag pole and not enough buyers salute, they just cancel the orders. Plenty of legit distributors with case deals nowadays, I wouldn't feel comfortable ordering from this company. As far as the case goes, I'd love to do a new build, but I'd have to rob a bank first to afford the Graphics card, CPU and RAM. It's a brave new world out there. One that doesn't favor the common man.

I ordered a Hynix USB drive a few months ago right around the time the memory market was spiking, they shipped it no problem.
On the flip side I've seen many people posting about them on Reddit buying non-retail CPU's and they ship them in a static bag in a bubble mailer and saw several people say they showed up DOA. Given both of those things I would probably feel comfortable buying this case but not anything marked open box or non retail.

It's a very good case, I built in one. You don't want stock fans anyway, you can buy a 3-pack of Thermalright fans on Amazon for $11-12 and they're far superior to most stock. It's intimidating the first time, but then just another component.

Gamers Nexus on YouTube. Same channel that did an undercover investigation and exposed ASUS for routinely and knowingly denying legitimate warranty claims.

I fell in love with PCs the first time I touched one in 4th grade. 40ish years later the pc is a hobby, side job, main job. That video kept me awake at night. I saw the writing on the wall. (No one, outside coworkers, that i know, have PCs) I built a pc for cost a month ago because I miss building.
