Looking to get hubby a new drill soon, as his old one is starting to have some issues. Can anyone give some feedback on if this would be a good one for around the house type stuff or recommend my others?

Just picked this up from my local Ace Hardware store. Not sure if its mentioned elsewhere but it does also come with one of the Dewalt zip up carry bags.

two selectable speed as well as a screw option and trigger can adjust rotation speed. so ideal for drilling and running screws too. great price. and short enough to get into tougher to reach areas.

You can also consider the drill/impact driver combo that is on sale for $169 at Lowes.

It has the DCD793 drill, which is 1/2 inch longer, so not as compact. Every other aspect of the drill is about the same. You gain a second battery and an impact driver. The impact driver will handle heavier stuff like long, deck screws, and freeing rusted bolts (if you add an socket). The impact driver will get into places to drive screws that none of the typical DeWalt 20V drills can ever go.

My hubby says this must be a misprint on Ace's site, as this can't be a 1/2 in drill/driver, it must be a 1/4 inch.
