The net price of $630 is fair for the hardware itself if you qualify for EPP. if you are buying at retail, you will likely pay close to full price for the first 6-9 months. So, if you can use the $300 credit right now, this is actually a pretty good deal.

I am interested in this monitor however, I will wait until I can get employee pricing at $630, for example, without the credit.

I've been eyeing 5k2k monitors for a while; the cheapest reputable one I've seen was the Lenovo deal at around $800ish.

That monitor was IPS, 3 year warranty and $875 unless you had access to discounts.

Furthermore, WITH EPP, Samsung already has a different 40" 5k2k that has been down to around $650. However, BOTH of Samsung's offerings are VA panels FWIW. Don't shoot the messenger, just explaining why you're getting thumbs downs.
