I'd be all over this if I hadn't already bought one

Let me preface with I'm not a contractor but I try to only get fuel line just cause it's nice to have the extra power when I need it. As for this is the m18 okay enough for my use. I just build as a hobby and looking to ditch the cord?

I bought this saw earlier this year for general use around the home and property. It's worked just fine for what I've done thus far---cutting 2x4s, building a stool, ripping 1/2" plywood, other random cuts. Often I just need to make a cut or two for a project I'm working on, so much nicer to just grab this and get the cut done instead of dragging out a corded saw and extension cord for just a cut or two. Maybe it's not suited for heavier work, but if I run into something like that I'll just get the bigger corded saw out.

Good deal, keep in mind the newer model 2833-20 runs at much higher rpm and is Brushless and is the latest model. Still this is a solid deal for the batteries alone worth the buy and this is the older brushed model.

Best I have seen 2 5.0 batteries is $100. And you get a saw. Good deal must resist.

No, you pay $100 for a saw. Not saying it's a bad deal, just that there's no "and you get a saw." Break it however you want, but the package is $200, so if you consider the batteries to be $100, the saw is as well

Yep should have worded that better. And you get the saw for $100 also.

For a DIY hobbyist, this saw is more than adequate. Have used it around the house, and more than enough power to go through anything. It's very light and I think it has great ergonomics.

I like the Milwaukee M18 system. I'm also invested in the more compact M12 system. Great selection of tools on both voltages. This is a more than adequate saw for home use, but I'm waiting for the 2732.

The saw is $149 all day long, $110 on eBay with warranty so you get the two batteries for $50 to $90, depending where you buy the saw.
