These are genuinely outstanding speakers (read/watch the reviews) especially if you give them 150w+. That said, any AVR will run them just fine.

Yep! These have been in the conversation as a top 5 mid-level speaker for years now. If I was in the market this would be a great deal. Just not sure they offer much over my Revel F35's which sit around the same quality, price, sound signature as these.

Nope, they won't be any better than your Revels, other than a touch more mid bass, but that's it.
