Good size for a portable miter saw. Not gonna build a house with it or anything, but for quick cuts or carrying around it's great. HP batteries help. Same price as last week, though, so not sure it's "slick," but if you can use the HP batteries it's worth it.

PS Last thread had debates about it not cutting 2x4's or not being as good with 4Ah as with 6Ah. Ignore those. Cuts fine and 4Ah just gives fewer cuts than 6Ah. If you know the limitations of a non-brushless 7.5" miter, you'll be fine

It's a fantastic little saw. I used it to frame a room and all the moulding and trim in my house. It can totally do 2x4s with no problem. Worked on some pressure treated 2x4s as well. I got a bigger one, but I still use this one the most because It's super lightweight and portable.

Should I grab this or keep the RYOBI cordless sliding miter I got for 206 a couple days ago?

Different uses, so depends on lot on your needs. I need a simple miter saw much more than sliding (and when I do, items usually more robust use), so I leave that for corded and have this as my cordless solution.

First use will be for flooring, trim, quarter round, baseboards. Anything past that is bonus future use case

Listen to Ion.
What do you need a miter saw for?
If you NEED a miter saw for multiple projects and are getting into home reno, woodworking, building things and want to make lots of things large and small your sliding one is the better choice 10x over.
If you want a portable one to grab and go do trim, some 2x4s and some on the spot cutting of smaller dimensions wood this is the one for you.
