I did these offers for years and always got my cash back. I would see others posting complaints about how PayPal screwed them by failing to pay out, but it had never happened to me. Then it happened to me twice in the last 6 months. Now I just expect them not to pay out on these offers - and with everyone forced into arbitration, there will truly be no way to compel them to pay what they owe.
This is wonderful if you want to play the 365 game to get family premium for 5 years at the personal rate.
Great for when adding the cheap new egg 365 personal codes (4 of them), then adding the "special deal" family 365 premium for $99 (normally $199)! With paypal Microsoftm
L 20% off goes to $79.99.
So $45- 50 for each personal 365 times 4 plus the $79 via paypal to trigger 365 family premium.
Add each personal code 1 at a time then other Microsoft via the special family premium.
Congrats. You know have family premium for 5 years for $279. Works only on new accounts!!

Can you revise? Not sure what you are saying. Something about newegg is also thrown in here.

Same. They screwed me one too many times with their cashback. Support always claims I was supposed to do x,y,Z but I didn't do Z.
I now use Grok to validate every step of every promotion like this. 100% success rate now across all savings platforms. It easily pays for the Grok subscription. 100% recomend. (ChatGPT seemed to miss steps and make broad recommendations versus the methodical Grok approach.) Here is part of what Grok says about this one: Important Notes on Redemption (as of June 2026)
PayPal Rewards points are currently redeemable for:
Cash back to your PayPal balance or linked bank (this option ends August 1, 2026)
Applying toward future PayPal checkout purchases
Gift cards (via PayPal Honey)
Donations
After August 1, 2026, cash-out options become more limited (mostly in-ecosystem use). If you earn a large amount, plan to redeem before the cutoff if you want cash flexibility. Tips & Potential Stacking
Stacking: You may still earn rewards from a credit card you use to fund PayPal. Some people have experimented with creative Microsoft 365 / game key purchases to maximize value.
Maximize the $300 cap: A single larger purchase (or a few within the 7 days) works best. Example: ~$1,500 spend = $300 back.
What qualifies? Most consumer purchases on microsoft.com, but confirm in the offer terms after activating. Exclusions are common on gift cards or certain subscriptions.
One-time or limited? These targeted offers are often once per account or until a total points pool is exhausted.
Cautions
Only use official PayPal channels — never click links from emails/texts or enter credentials anywhere else.
Some users report occasional delays or disputes with PayPal cashback (though many have success with these offers historically).
If the offer doesn't appear for you, you're simply not in the targeted group this round — they rotate.
Bottom line: This is a strong 20% deal if you were already planning to buy something from Microsoft (hardware, games, software, subscriptions, etc.). Just activate it soon, confirm the exact terms in your account, and complete the purchase within 7 days.
