I just don't know if I would trust something that needs to lift something as expensive as a car to a brand that looks like "sucky buy"...

And I guess the time would be fine for garage work or if you can't manually do it, but 2 minutes to reach max height is pretty lengthy..

Succebuy is Vevor. Their name is on a lot of good products.

The jack that came with your car....you don't even know the company who made that, could have been "sucky buy" for all you know.

Not to mention, if you are rotating your own tires or swapping tires (for example street to off road)....that "2 minutes" over and over and over again can get pretty old, especially if it requires getting on your hands and / or knees to crank.
FWIW, I've purchased a few different SucceBuy (Vevor) items and have always been pleased. Everything from roof racks to ultra sonic cleaners to laundry pedestals.

I think that commenter is just saying scissor jacks are very dangerous compared to floor or bottle jacks.

Maybe...but they seemed to be more worried about brand name (referencing "sucky buy") vs the style of jack being used.

FWIW, I agreed floor jacks are preferred but those tend to be pretty large and require rolling access to and from where you store them vs use them (you don't just pickup a floor jack and carry them across the yard). Bottle jacks are great as well but tend to only only work on a range of lift heights. The ones that work (well) for a full size truck aren't likely to be much use on a low profile coupe, or vice versa. Scissor jacks have their pros and cons.

Many new cars don't have a jack or a spare. They have a "repair kit" that puts that slime in the tire.

The aluminum floor jacks are pretty light and carry-able. My 3 ton is ~60lbs, not light but it's mobile. A 2-ton is closer to 35lbs which you can definitely carry

What happens if the motor fails or your battery is dead, can you manually crank it?

I didn't say you 'can't carry' them but floor jacks are meant to roll around a floor. Thus the wheels. This is MUCH more portable. But you do you....LOL.

I wasn't talking about your exact car and just offering an example that many cars have jacks of an unknown brand yet we magically trust it without asking who made it.

But that is a great point actually. If your car didn't come with a jack...and you need to buy one, why not buy a convenient one? Not all of us want to walk up hill both ways in the snow barefoot over broken glass because someone else might judge us for not needlessly doing it the hardest way possible. And if they do...that doesn't ruin my day. I'm renting space in their head, not the other way around.

I bought one of these many years ago, and in my experience you should absolutely buy the similarly priced (not even sale price, normal price!) Walmart brand trolley jack (https://www.walmart.com/ip/2-TON-...5515707766) unless you drive a large SUV and actually need the 3 tons. The electric ones are slower, have a lower max lift height, and the Walmart one even takes up slightly less space than this one in its case.
This IS slightly better than the space saver scissor jack that comes with some cars, but it's also not a space saver!

Not even remotely the same in terms of where needed (this one coming in a case/portable) but even a higher min. lift height than this one. Minus both being able to lift up vehicles, great comparison. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
