Haha, agree, but it could work in your throat, nose, & other dark, hard to see areas as well; Maybe even use it as a tool.

The problem with these is that they are 100% dependent on the mobile app. Many of these generic no-name brands will only do an initial production run, and then they move on to other products. At that point the mobile app becomes abandoned and eventually stops working without updates. Then the product becomes a paperweight.

This will sound overly dramatic, but similar products to this have been life-changing for me. My ears have a tendency to become itchy. I've tried everything ... this ear drop formula, that ear drop formula, irrigating them, prescription meds that my doctor suggested. Only frequent irrigation helped but didn't solve the problem. But with my otoscope/ear wax cleaner, I can go in there, see what's happening and deal with it. Usually, it's a wad of earwax against my eardrum, but sometimes it's a dirt particle that found it's way deep into my ear or a hair that found it's way in there or one of the little hairs in my ear has come loose. I've found that hairs are another culprit for my itchy ears. Often, it's a strand of my cat's hair that's the culprit. I just go in there and clean up what I find and my ears stop itching.

Words of caution: You need to be very careful with this tool. You can perforate your eardrum if you aren't very gentle and precise with whatever scraping you do. It will heal over a few weeks but the experience will be extremely unpleasant. And be *extremely* gentle and cautious if you're cleaning something off your eardrum. Don't stick this tool in your ears if there's a cat or a child nearby, because it only takes them being startled or being silly for a second for them to cause you to jam it deep into your ear and cause serious damage.

I tried this a month ago and could never get the app to connect to the product. So not sure if it was a bad product or just a gimpy app. I ended up returning it.

I have a Pixel on Android 16.

Even more so to download a random chinese app to get the camera to work on your phone then end up with all your crypto and banking info gone the night you wake up from sleep.

I have found them to be risky apps but some if the generic camera apps in the Play store will work just read the reviews. All loaded with crap. I picked up 3 or 4 of these at a flea market and got them all to work. I wanted to tie them off and drop them in to small mystery cracks crevices holes etc. But the range was too short. So far including the USB type I haven't found any I couldn't get working on generic or other devices apps. It the app developers that are sketchy.

The problem I found they have is battery draining down too low to take a charge.

They take some patience and the apps are usually sketchy along with the instructions. I haven't gotten this particular one but I had played with three different ones like this there is a bit of a learning curve in setting them up compared to Bluetooth headphones.
