As I recall, the gourmet line is the low-end of Wusthof. It's the stuff you find in the clearance dept because the steel quality isn't the same and they aren't likely to be full tang.

They're full tang, but the blades are stamped steel, instead of forged like the Wüsthof Classic. Forged knives normally have a bolster (thicker portion at heel of blade/front of handle), and that's the easiest way to spot the difference.

I have these from a woot deal about 2 years ago. The knives are very light and do not feel like a quality knife. With that said they are super sharp and have stayed sharp after occasional use.
