Noticed that the straight Peanut Butter flavor is $27.53 as well.

Anyone comment on this brand or flavor? I know the brand is fairly well known, but I have never tried.

Ah, you're right. My zip code was wrong so it was showing in-store pickup availability. So YMMV for in-store on the PB.

For starters, being well known and being well known for putting out a quality protein product within a "sell everything" product line is 2 different things.
Lot of filler in there for a 35g serving. This "deal" basically amounts to paying out a premium for a concentrate cosplaying as an isolate. With a less offensive sweetener then the usual crap being thrown in there.

Could do worse, but you could also do better.

Could you recommend alternatives to keep an eye out for?

My own recommendation would depend on how much you care about the sweetener being used. Which should be the biggest selling point in why anybody would even be looking at this brand of power to begin with imo.

If you want or need Stevia this is probably fine.

if you don't care about which sweetener is being used, or even better don't need any flavoring period, then I'd probably lean into buying a 5lb tub of Now's Whey Protein Concentrate or Isolate off Amazon. I also trust their brand of supplement products, including their powder, to not cut any corners in a pretty jacked up costs market more then i do Vitamin Shoppe's.
