Understand this is the battery version but can this be hardwired instead? Or is it better to just get the pure hardwired version instead?

So I'm still using a doorbell 3+ that I had installed when I bought my home in 2020. Is there any reason whatsoever for me to upgrade to this? Better battery, life or anything like that based upon average use? It seems like it takes different batteries than the older models too.

+$50/year. You are better off with a Tapo or similar. No subs ever, plus 24/7 recording.

Never forget Amazon tried to partner with Flock until people started complaining. I don't trust them to not try again after everyone's forgotten.

I recommend researching the privacy implications of using Ring before you make the purchase. Ring has a bad history of viewing customer video as well as sharing it with law enforcement without getting permission.

You can hardwire it into your existing doorbell lines (still needs battery in it) or you can have it independent on battery if there's no doorbell transformer line to connect to or just simply want it elsewhere
Benefit of battery is that if breaker trips, doorbell will still operate on your WiFi with battery life.
You can enable Amazon Sidewalk, so even if the house power is out, if there's other neighbors with Sidewalk, it can still provide alerts and so forth
The version without battery, it'll just die if breaker trips or house power is out

I was just about to buy a hardwired Blink, so for basic stuff it's free and then you have to pay for playback and ect ect... I also need to get a faceplate kit... Feedback suggestions ?
