This is a solid midrange gaming prebuilt centered on a Ryzen 5 7500X3D and RX 9070 XT, with enough power for 1440p and even some 4K at lower settings. The bundle is helped by the included 1TB SSD, Windows 11, and name brand core parts, and the member price lands around $1300 after Micro Center sign up. The main knocks are the single 16GB RAM stick, a cramped case with limited expansion, and a motherboard and PSU that feel more budget than premium. It is a practical way to get this spec without the hassle of a full DIY build.

This isn't a deal but it is a good price if you don't want to built your own. They're basically taking their $300 7500x3d combo, adding in a 9070xt (which I've see on sale for $600 every couple months), and throwing in what is probably a budget 1TB NVME.

Add in one of those cheap power spec cases (which I believe is made by Lian li; I was eying it when I built mine a couple months ago), a basic cooler, budget PSU, and some cheap fans and there you go.

The good news is the a single ram stick isn't a deal breaker for X3D, so you might lose a couple frames but overall it'll be a good performer. When I built mine I ended up selling my included ram and using a DDR5 5600 32GB I got when bestbuy oopsied it for $15. It's slightly slower ram but again, the difference isn't significant with X3D and I'd rather have capacity.
Okay... so $900 by getting the cheapest ever new 9070xt you or anyone has ever seen and you still need a case, 850w PSU, 1tb SSD, AIO cooler for under $400 all new and all with a 1 year warranty.

Is it possible to BARELY squeeze under that finding deals and getting lucky? Yes.

Is it worth the hassle to save... at most... $100? And have to spend the time putting it all together on your own??

This IS a deal. Is it a crazy cheap deal? No, of course not. But looking at normal retail prices you're saving a few hundo, time, and hassle.

But saying it's not a deal just isn't true in today's market and the foreseeable market. You're not realistically building this spec brand new on your own and if you are, congrats saving $100 at best for many hours of your time.

I stand by my original statement: good price, not a deal. I'd be surprised if the PSU is even C tier and that case is *cramped.* I've seen it in person. You don't need an AIO cooler for a 7500X3D. Hell, you don't even need a phantom spirit or peerless assassin to keep it cool, even though that's what I'd recommend.

The only mildly tricky part is the NVME. For that, I'd just recommend using what you already have, though I'm sure a lot of folks don't just have a spare NVME laying around. Still, matching that $1300 is completely reasonable, PLUS you can pick a better case and probably a better PSU. MSI MAG goes on sale all the time.

But like... if you want to buy the prebuilt, buy it. It's fine. They're definitely not price gouging (well, beyond the norm). Let's not pretend this is a steal of a deal though. It's a good price considering the times we live in.

Saw this unboxed on YT from the Sharonville, OH store. PSU was an AsRock PRO Series 80+ Gold 850W and it looks like it's B+. Video I saw if interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F...mE&t=1221s

Noted, that's a plus. Though now that I'm looking at the build more closely... no exhaust? I mean, easily rectified but a weird exclusion.

It's just what MC does, the prebuilt buyer has to think they're making compromises, for a chance at an upsell. They check off all the boxes for name brand components that would be looked for, and the rest are white label / commodity. Everyone else replying is comparing to OEMs with worse units, which I get, but if I can source and sell the entire build for $1100 plus build fee, it's just wild that no one can admit that MC has several orders of magnitude more buying power than a tiny operation like mine.

I've heard of people having issues with AMD GPUs. Does anyone have any experience with them? I've only ever had NVIDIA GPUs
The only thing I heard is a high amount of dead cores vs nvidia but TBH I think it's because a lot of those people OCed the hell outta them. I would just under volt the card and lose a tiny bit of performance IE 2-4 % and I bet the card would last a long time. I undervolt my 4080 Super for the reason I'm willing to lose a tiny bit of performance to gain efficiency in longevity, especially in a crazy market with high GPU prices.

I agree 100% it's not great deal but a solid deal for a solid system. It's just a shame with the current market I feel for people trying to do a full system build or a upgrade and TBH you guys better jump on these prebuilts now because usually the price lags compared to individual components and I can guarantee you the prices will go up on these prebuilts after existing in inventory is exhausted. Most companies order their pars quarterly or every six months so the current price hikes have not caught up yet but they will.

I had to spec this out because I saw the backlash. By just copy and pasting your own words into Google, I was able to easily able to see that building it yourself is a wiser decision overall.

MicroCenter die hards up in here.
