I wouldn't settle for a DRAM-Less QLC drive even in a time like this. The 4TB SN850X is currently at $599. If you can wait, it should go on sale soon on Amazon's Prime Day.

Sometimes the best deal on something is still a bad deal.
Unless a person is sitting with a project on their workbench that's dead in the water and needs to become functional immediately, it's best to wait a while longer.
But seriously, it was the 4tb SN850X and it crapped out on me in 3 years so I'm already not a big fan of WD's nvme
The SN850X is actually one of the most reliable drives, but as always, YMMV. Have you RMA'd it as it comes with a 5-year warranty?
As for SN850X's main competitor, don't get me started on it...

This timeline hurts my soul... And my wallet.
I feel like together, the computer part hunters of Slickdeals ... we've finally reached the final stage of grief. Acceptance.
I've reached a better stage... not being afraid to pull the trigger without even knowing the time is right. (evidence, see the guy who posted right before me)
It works well on my steam deck (installed w/ an adapter).
$350 is wild, but I guess this is our new normal.
