Mine just came today. Build quality looks fine for $5. Braided cable is nice. But the charging speed is slooooow. Seriously slow.

I hooked it up to a 200w power bank with output display via USB-C. Connected my iPhone Pro, which had a 20% charge at the time so was ready to pull some power. It never went above 7.5w.

I added my AirPods Pro via the lightning cable, while leaving the iPhone connected. It went up to 8.5w (+1w increase).

Waited a few mins, no change. Added my Apple Watch via the watch charger and it went up to 9.5w (another +1w increase).

After a few minutes, it would bounce around 10-10.5w, never going above 10.5w. That's 5.1V / 1.9A. The cable detector shows no e-chip (as expected) and rated for 3A-60w, but it obviously can't hit even 20% of that.

When I unplugged everything but my iPhone (USB-C), it went back down to 7.5w...

So yeah, don't expect much from this cable. I was hoping at least 20-30w in single use, but that was apparently way too optimistic.

EDIT: In case anyone was wondering, tried USB-A instead of C for input. Same ~7.5w draw.

Didn't work for dark gray or purple, which are the only other colors that you'd get for $5 or less. I bought the red one.

Did you misspell it? You added an "r" by mistake.

Is this slow due to being 3 way split?

Does anybody know if this is compatible or certified to charge iPhone? I bought a similar cable few month ago that only charges iPhone to 20% then stopped charging, I found out that is typical non-iPhone-compatible cable. Not sure about this one.
