My store online shows $150. Too bad.
Or is the in store price different from what's shown online?

In the HD app when I look this up, it shows the $149 online price, but below the shipping/pickup options, it says "This item isn't eligible for online order Pickup, but it is on Clearance at [my store]. While supplies last. See low price." When I click that link, it shows the $97 price.

It should be plenty for most things on cars, especially if you don't have to fight rust. I have quite a few impacts, bigger and smaller than this, and I grab this one for lug nuts every time.

If you got rusted bolts, squirt some liquid wrench into the nooks and crannies first. Let it soak for an hour or two, then go to town.

I ordered the high torque model 3 days ago to pick up in store but I haven't gotten it yet. Would you pay $100 more for the high torque and the max output battery?

That depends entirely on what you need it for. If it's going to be your only impact and you ever need to do more than lug nuts, I'd rather have the capability than not have it. Is it worth twice the price? Only you can answer that for yourself. Disclaimer: I also spent an embarrassing amount on a very powerful impact that I have only ever used twice (but I was very thankful both of those times). If you're never going to be working on heavy equipment, I think this one for under $100 is one of the best values around. I'm normally a Makita devotee, but Ridgid's battery warranty is fantastic.

This R86215 is more like the Black Friday model. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_...RpY&t=629s

The Ridgid R86012 is the Mid-Torque model and has approx 100 more ft/lbs of torque. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nXYV_y0gjU

The bare tool R86012 is $90 at DTO right now. https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...ts/r86012b

Its lifetime warranty. I'm not sure how their warranty works but I assume you would send it in. They would fix it or trade it for a similar medium torque model if this one fails.

You fill out the form on their website and they provide a prepaid shipping label to send the broken tool to them.
