This is a great sprayer but I would only consider for large projects. Takes a lot of paint to prime

I agree. I have this sprayer and it's great, but priming uses a ton of paint. Cleaning it properly afterwards also takes time. I used it to spray cabinet doors and it really felt like a waste of this machine--I could have rolled them with a 1/4" nap in 1/4 of the time. But they look great, at least. I have not found a project large enough to use it again since then. Sitting in the corner of the tool shop with Pump Armor in it...waiting for me to give it more work lol.

had one of these and just such a pain to set up and clean. works great once you get it going but not worth the hassle. they really need to come up with an easier way to use and clean these machines

I love this sprayer - I used it to repaint our cabinets about 4 years ago. They look professional and have held up extremely well. This post has a walk-through of my project:

Over the years, I've used it on built-in shelves, a kitchen table/chairs, and a dresser. It does take a lot of paint to prime it and clean-up is a hassle. I would never want to use oil-based paint in it, I think the cleanup would be too much of a hassle for me. Painting indoors with a sprayer takes MUCH more prep to cover everything to contain the over-spray. But if you are an amateur and want a professional finish - this is hard to beat and requires relatively little practice. This sprayer with Benjamin Moore Advanced are my go-to-combo.
