Definitely a good device if only TP-link could stop constantly cutting out

Anyone use this with the xe75 pro?

Will the lack of 6ghz degrade the entire network or just anything connected to the X50?

depends on which unit you use as the main unit. TP-link's design has all nodes connected directly with the main unit, rather than a daisy chain.

Unless you connect it via ethernet. My xe75 downstairs node ethernet port connects to a poe+ ethernet switch running 3 poe 4k RTSP security cameras and this unit. Works great.

Just for clarification, you can daisy chain them (I'm doing it right now for one of my nodes), but it's not suggested unless you need to.

I already have one of these installed as part of our security camera array. Our primary router is the dual-unit DECO-6, which performs exceptionally well in a mesh configuration. The X50 outdoor effectively reduces Wi-Fi interference from neighboring signals in the backyard, allowing us to monitor and control PTZ cameras around the residence.

I am purchasing this particular X50 model once more at a discounted rate to eliminate a dead zone on the opposite side of the backyard, where the house is predominantly covered in brick veneer, and where a neighbor's Wi-Fi router—located directly next door in their bedroom—emits a very strong signal.
Having previously owned this unit, I have noticed at least three to four firmware updates, indicating ongoing improvements despite the release of the newer Wi-Fi 7 outdoor model. Since all our outdoor security cameras operate on lower Wi-Fi standards, Wi-Fi 7 would be excessive and unnecessary for our needs.
