Factor in the cost of $40 hinge reinforcement kit to fix a known defect for these headphones. Anyone know if these are a significant upgrade to the XM4?

Just beware that the SA version being sold by Costco comes with a soft carrying case whereas the non-SA one comes with a hard carrying case.

Check the price using the "warehouse" feature on the app. I've seen a couple instances where they hadn't updated the price on the signage, even though the in warehouse price had dropped.

Apparently, according to reddit, the early batches of these have better quality plastics. The later ones are more prone to this issue. Good thing Costco has a generous return policy if they do break.

Bose 700 is a beast compared to any Sony in my opinion. Very strong build lasts years.

No, online and in store are separate. If your store has it, it's likely $149.97. You can also check the in store pricing on the Costco app when signed in.
Costco app -> choose warehouse on the bottom -> select your warehouse -> search with the item number (provided in post).
