These are okay for small weekend projects, but probably won't last for larger projects or normal use.
These are lower end mediocre tools, but better than most bottom of the barrel tools you usually see listed!
A deal would be $99 for this kit!
The 793 abd 840 are medium use, way slower and get even slower when over used and get hot. You're lucky they haven't failed yet, or those decks were tiny.

I recently bought the DCF840 w/battery for $100. Think I'll return it and get this set instead. Don't need another drill, but for $50 extra, I'll gift it to my son or something.

Just because it comes with two tools, doesn't make it good!
$10 average per ah battery = $20 batteries with a crappy 2 amp charger, Again, okay for the weekend smaller project homeowner that doesn't mind waiting 1 hour to charge a 2 ah battery!
If you're buying on a deal impulse, wait for the good tools!
I bought the DCD800D2 kit for $108, DCD860B for $99 and two 6ah batteries with 6 amp chargers for $65ea
These are great deals on top of the line high quality powerful tools!
Your talking a $58 difference between top of the line professional tools to mediocre weekend homeowner tools!
