For alu frames - sure, but not for carbon frames. The 100mm length puts a ton of stress on the frame seatpost and the frame can easily crack under load or after a period of use when you're slamming your butt on the dropper to push it down.

HOWEVER, it is an awesome option for bikes that don't have a dropper routing in the first place. Got one for my wife's older Spec Rockhopper. Works like a charm!
