I have alerts for wire. Didn't want to get 10kg but finally bit.
How do y'all keep PETG dry?
Do you just dry it before use?

Air tight (waterproof) sealed clear container drybox $15 for filament storage (get a smaller size if you want easy stacking):
https://www.menards.com/main/stor...-12667.htm

Walmart has a container that is also waterproof.

Rechargeable Eva-Dry Dessicant $20 for drybox:

PETG filament is more durable than using PLA filament but also absorbs moisture more quickly so buy a separate $50+ filament dryer. My fav is the Creality Filament Dryer 4 Spools Space Pi X4 Filament Storage Box 85°C Max Temperature Dual Independent Heating that you can get for about $110 on sale - checkout slickdeals.com. Includes holes for PTFE feed directly from the top or back of the unit so you can keep your filament drying or in storage while being able to print from it. Several other filament dryers have similar features.

I got the sovol sh02 to dry while printing PETG/TPU its on the way.I have kobra X so it can print 4 at once,My plan was to keep PLA open and dry PETG/ TPU while printing.I will get the box from menards, to keep the rest in it and swap to the dryer for when needing to print. Im keeping my printing cost low, new to the hobby. Got the kobra X for $280 with 2kg PLA, and $40 for SH02.

Congrats! Welcome to the hobby! Kobra X looks like a great price, low filament waste printer! My first printer was a Kobra 3 and got hooked, then bought several other 3D printers so I could print more items faster!

This is always a great deal until you realize that you print a lot in specific colors, and eventually you're just racking up tons of spools in colors you don't use and by the time you do, it's too old and years down the road.

I wish black would go on sale for similar.

Here are some other sales on single color packages but unfortunately I think they are sold out on the black PETG stuff! June 1st started a big sale and some of that filament went quick!

Haven't had issues with filament getting too old. I use the colors i don't like as much for prototypes and stuff I won't see

How has that been for you? I read they were a bit inconsistent.

I've used Geeetech Pla, PLA silk (Best Gold Silk Brand!!), and PETG over the last year and they have all been great for me! The colors are more true than kingroon but they are both excellent low cost filaments (if you buy in bulk). I've had very few issues with them - maybe one or two spools had some tangle but I go thru a lot of filament so that's a low % for me. You can also buy single Geeetech filaments on AliExpress and the shipping goes down for multiple spools from same shipping location. Temu has some good Geeetech single spool prices without shipping cost. I bought some 1KG ASA various color filament recently for $17 free shipping.
