The RP-504C II is a large center channel that stands out for clear, easy to understand vocals and a more neutral Klipsch RP sound than the older bright R series. The cabinet is massive enough to require careful measuring, and placement can be tricky if the TV sits too high. Pricing has landed around $300 to $400 in past sales, so $450 feels steep to some. It remains a strong match for home theater dialogue if the size and price work in your setup.
Home theater owners needing a center for clear dialogue, because the speaker is repeatedly described as very good for vocals and clarity.
Shoppers comfortable paying around $450 for a center channel, because owners say the price is acceptable when they need one now and do not want to wait for a small extra discount.
People with shallow TV stands or tight front-wall space, because the cabinet is massive and can force the TV too high or fail to fit through a doorway.
$450 is considered a decent buy, but several comments place the better historical prices around $300-$400. Reported lows include $299.99-$300 for color-specific sales and about $400 for recent purchases, with Black Friday or future sales possibly dropping it another $50.
If you can wait, a lower price may be possible: past sales hit about $300, and one comment expects Black Friday could land roughly $50 below this deal. If you need a center now, $450 is still viewed as acceptable by buyers who wanted the speaker immediately.
Yes, it is very large and heavy for a center channel, described as a "park bench" and a "large frame" speaker. Measure your front door, TV stand, and placement height carefully before buying, because it can dominate the setup and may force the TV too high.
It is reported to be very strong for clear vocals and dialogue, with multiple owners calling the center "VERY good" and saying vocals are great. The RP series is also described as having a more neutral, wide-appealing sound than older bright Klipsch lines, which helps center-channel clarity.
Yes, Amazon listings mentioned free returns, and the Adorama purchase was also treated as low-risk by buyers because of return options. That makes it easier to test fit and bulk before committing, which matters because the speaker is unusually large.
Thank you both for the input! Why would anyone purchase this Klipsch over the Emotiva center? Seems like a no brainer to go XC1 over this...
Thee biggest reason is preference.
Not to mention this will be easier to drive.
Science tells you matching speakers is optimal.
Even Emo says timbre matching is a benefit & the XC1s can be used as LCRs.
Not to mention someone said 5 of them would be a "long-term "keeper" system"!
Of course we are leaving out MANY other factors on determining which good center you prefer/works for you.
I would point out Emo stated those XC1s were designed for "smaller spaces".
I completely agree with them.
If smaller spaces is in play.
You might want to take a look at that 5.1 Energy Take Classic System for $299!
It gets high praise and is said to be a price-to-performance mega deal.
Especially compared to over $1k for 5 XC1s & no sub!!!
Yes I purchased last year @ $299.99 If I'm not mistaken, it was only for the walnut color (which I got). This thing is a beast and @ $300, cannot be beat! At $450, I'd consider waiting
I got it on the same sale. Haven't hooked it up as yet nor sold the 404C it replaced, but seeing the price these days I'm glad I got it at that price, which, due to inflation these days, probably won't be seen again for awhile.

I have this speaker and agree with most - Vocals are great, 100% happy with it. I think I paid around 400 in walnut a couple years ago.
Yep, the Klipsch RP series have put the "Klipsch makes ear-bleedingly bright speakers" canard (inspired by the bottom-level R and Icon/Synergy series) to rest. These have an uncontroversial, wide-appealing sound signature. In fact, I home demoed the SVS Prime speakers a few years ago and found THOSE to fit that old Klipsch stereotype much more, lol...thank god for their free return shipping, SVS's main redeeming quality.
FWIW this deal is now available on Amazon as well. Found a "Used - Like New" for $400 to save another $50 bucks. Pretty low risk since it is free returns as well. Excited to try this out, just hope its not too bulky (hence why i opted for the free return choice) and if it is then I'm not sure what to pair my rp8000f's with moving forward.
