Subway coupon threads center on cheap footlong and two footlong deals, with the app and mailer codes sometimes bringing the price down to around $7 or less per sub. The strongest upside is value when the code works, especially on specific sandwiches or veggie options, and the app can be easier than the website for ordering and gift card use. The main drawback is spotty franchise participation, with codes, payment methods, and even in store redemption varying by location. Some orders also come with skimpy meat portions or extra hassle, so the deal depends heavily on the store and ordering method.
Regulars who order through the phone app, because the app can surface working footlong offers and accept gift cards when the website blocks them.
Families splitting two footlongs who want a straightforward discount, because the 1299-for-2 offer can cut the total from $22 to $14 when the order is entered correctly.
Deal hunters willing to follow exact ordering steps, because the meal coupon activates when the items are added separately.
Vegetarian lunch buyers who want the cheapest footlong, because the veggie delight is described as the lowest-priced option on the menu.
People depending on every location to honor the same coupon, because acceptance varies by store and some locations reject the code entirely.
Shoppers who want a hassle-free online checkout, because the website can be buggy, block gift cards, and throw location errors during ordering.
Anyone expecting a generously filled sandwich, because some orders come with very little meat even when extra meat is paid for.
People who need a reliable meal after eating out, because one footlong was followed by a severe stomach bug.

When I try going to store to pickup they don't apply the coupon code and say you need to bring physical QR codes if you want to redeem the offers in-store.

Other examples: Burger King, McDonald's, and Wendy's now all have minimums before one gets a free item ($3+, $5+, etc.). Not really a coincidence that this is happening once I joined this site and it does not help that inflation is through the roof.
Not that I really care THAT much about the business, I just want the sub to be at a fair price according to the wage in the area (others have their thresholds).
If the minimum wage is $15/hr. where one is at, the best one can do is buy a footlong close to what, proportionally, it should be. If in 1965, a footlong was $0.49 on $1.15/hr.; a footlong today should not be any more than $6.34 on $15/hr. That is not actually unrealistic. BOGO footlongs for ones at or under $12.68 would do it. Veggie subs in my area, even though $7.25/hr. where I am at, run about $8.99. The issue is, one has to be very picky in what is bought.
And it also hurts the contributors on here too because tons of people are like, "The codes do not work." Well of course they do not work or of course, the Subway in your area is not going to honor it. They never were SUPPOSED TO!!! These were localized regional codes, which had taken the franchises' profit margins in that area into account, even if they were sent by corporate.

If I order from computer, then only FL1399 works and will not allow Gift Card as a payment method. However, if I use the phone app, then FL1299 works and also allows Gift Card.
