You need to port in your number then it will show phone price $0 and then you need to buy $60 phone plan.

Log into your GV account then:
  1. Select Settings (the gear wheel), in Account, there's an UNLOCK button below your phone number, select it to pay $3 to get the phone number unlock.
  2. Select Voicemail in the left column, scroll down to Call To Listen and turn it on. Pick a PIN.
  3. When you submite your GV number to Metro to port in, the GV Account number is your GV number (without dashes/parentheses), Port PIN is the Voicemail PIN, Zipcode is your own zipcode.
  4. When porting a GV number to Metro, after activation your Metro phone might be able to make outgoing calls/texts, but incoming calls still go to you GV line. That's because GV hasn't fully released the number yet. Either wait 7-10 days for it to be fully ported, or call Metro Port Dept and ask the rep to manually complete the port.
thanks

That deal is only good if you plan to stay with Cricket for at least 6 months or only intend to use the phone as a Wi-Fi only device.

But a Metro phone will be unlocked after a year with only one month's payment. With Cricket, you'll have to pay for 6 months to get unlocked, else the phone stays locked no matter how long you wait.

Hey, so this only works if we choose the $65/month plan? If we choose the cheaper plan, it won't unlock after 1 year?

For the A37, if you choose a plan less than $65/month then you won't get the A37 for $0. Some other phones can be get for $0 with a lower plan. Unlocking after 1 year is not dependent on the plan price.

I recently received a Motorola Edge from Metro. It did not seem to ship with a Sim. Can anyone confirm that this is fine and they are using eSim with this phone?

I received an Edge 2025 yesterday. It is eSim. Once I connected it to wifi the eSim started working and then I was able to turn off the wifi.

Also, I have an involved question for old hands with Metro.

I used the wrong port in phone number on the first order screen (number check for porting; we will call this Number 1), but later in the ordering process, I provided my correct number (Number 2) and port in account/pin information. When I activate, which information/phone number will be used? Basically, do I need to call Metro to check/correct?
