Bought a set last year. It initially had a bad plastic smell when opened, dissipated with time. Used once for international travel, held very well.

In for one. Time to get rid of the old and heavy woven luggage. May have to use luggage sleeve for protection.

If you are only traveling occassionally in your car or someplace where you will be in control of your luggage, or if this is your first set of luggage, this is not a bad set. However, if you are planning on traveling using a cruise or airline please invest in a decent set of luggage that can withstandand being dropped, tossed, thrown and stacked. ABS is better than softside luggage, but Polycarbonate is essential for business travel, or someone that is doing alot of cruise or air travel.

Isn't the old cloth sets better than anything plastic now.
