What he means is that nobody should buy it until it hits that price again.

Exactly. And it's never going to, thanks to Trump's 37% tariffs from China. And I'm right wing, but you never mess with the market or manipulate it, Elon Musk told him, but he fired him. Stay cool.

Nice deal but I gotta hold out for a laptop with 32GB with a good deal. I can feel 16GB reaching the limit with apps and games I'm using right now. Upgrading the ram on my laptop was coming to $300-400. I wish I'd upgraded my Lenovo to 32 back in 2024.

That's not market price. According to AI:
In the U.S., for a new 16 GB DDR5-5600 SODIMM, I'd currently expect to pay roughly:
  • Budget/OEM (Samsung, SK Hynix, Micron): USD $40–60
  • Retail brands (Crucial, Kingston, Corsair): USD $50–80
So, at the most $80-$160 for 32GB. And you can still sell your 2x8GB sticks and save some money.

Really? Would you kind enough to point some of the retail sites where 16GB Rams are available at40 to 60 USD or even at 80?

I second the other commentor. Where are you getting a 16GB stick for 40-60USD? Cheapest I could see was ~150-200. 2 sticks were 300-400.

This is still a great deal at 1499 if you don't need 32GB. You can upgrade the ram for about $200 (buy 32GB for about $380 and sell the 16GB for about $150). The one issue I have with this laptop is that it only has one M.2 slot for storage which is not the best. It's also kind of bulky and the fans are very loud. Overall a good laptop for the price
