So a separate remote to change songs? No thanks. Lose it or it dies and you just as well throw the thing away or you'll be using your phone to change them.

With integrated Google Assistant, I'm assuming you could change songs by voice but I could be wrong.

Is the remote connected to the transmitter itself or does it connect to your phone? I'd like to use it with my CarPlay screen and be able to change the songs without reaching for my phone or the screen.

The screen handles navigation and is also a screen for a provided back up camera. You might want to try that. The screen is touchscreen so u can use that to control or you can use your phone.

Works more then well, the voltage indicator is a great feature. Allthough dont expect the remote to stay on steering wheel. Put it in the center or it will fall off first turn.
