Yeah, my luck is a tad all over the place with best buy open box items. Bad with laptops but good with other items. For something like a console that's hopefully just sitting on a shelf, my guess is the luck will be better.


if buying, just make sure the disc drive works and that you connect to the internet to verify the console hasn't been banned for any reason.

Gaming in general is a cheap hobby that takes up a lot of time, especially if you get hooked on a game with unlimited replay value. If it keeps you from going out and spending money else where, then it does save you a lot of money.

Sure! Tonight I'd have gone out to a bar and spent 80-100.00. Because of the PS5, I am staying in and drinking for liquor store prices. Same fun,, same drinks, WAY less money out of pocket. And no Lyfts.

Please educate me on what's the difference between Open Box Excellent and Geek Squad Certified Refurbished. Never bought a console but other than the console/controller/power cord, what other essential stuff is included?

Bought a laptop, supposedly Open Box Excellent, but it came without the proprietary barrel charger.

Excellent went from 391.99 to 402.99 as of 6/08

That happened to me, I went to the store and asked for a manager and they ordered me one for free.

If you have a quality library system in your area, they may carry video game discs. I can find almost any PS5 or PS4 game in my area, so I don't spend money on games anymore (while still playing new releases), because they are rentable free through my library.
