Making the switch from Dish to streaming for my elderly parent, and need to get a smart TV. I dont know a lot about TV's or streaming platforms, but I've been learning over the past few days.

I've pretty much narrowed it down to this deal or a 50" LED Hisense Roku TV for about the same price ($214). Anyone have any input between these two? This deal is QLED and slightly cheaper, while the other one is Roku which seems to be highly regarded.

Is a Roku LED TV better than a QLED Vizio?

Picture quality isn't a huge deal, but of course better is better. I doubt they will be doing much with the OS, probably just using DirectTV streaming and maybe the QVC app, but maybe more.

i recommend just having plutoTV and tubi and that should be enough good programming for them. both have a "live tv" feature with different channels if they want that direcTV experience.

How come so there are no 120hz on budget TVs?
Is it that much more to add 120hz?

People forget that those free tv apps use data... Make sure they have internet access, with a data plan that fits their needs.

Especially on the 50" since it has a VA panel. The other sizes on the mini-LED model (except 85") are IPS.
