- Obviously the tools are brushed. They will all work just fine and outlast most homeowner's needs, but brushless are better.
- Also obviously, there are some filler tools here. That's both good and bad. On the good side, you might run into a situation 8 years down the road where you need a sawzall, and having one in your garage would be handy. On the bad side, I think there's a temptation to do the "SD math" and look at this as ~$40/tool and think that's amazing, when in actuality your denominator is more like 4 than 8.
If I were a new-ish homeowner (or renter) without tools, I think I would be really tempted to get the Bosch 12v Brushless Flex tool that is/was on sale for $140 at Amazon the past couple days: https://www.amazon.com/GSR12V-300...084Q4143Y/I would bet that 80% of a typical person's tool use is driving, and 15% drilling. That guy does both of those things perfectly well- and the different angles for driving is way more handy than you realize until you're trying to assemble furniture and there's a really tight fit. Plus, it's small enough that you can put it on the top shelf of a closet somewhere.
