Man I miss the old Southwest. Even if you do find a decent price, the flight times are terrible or the layovers make their old 2hr direct flights now take 6-8 hrs. And the attitude of both the SW employees and customers is definitely not fun and happy like it used to be.

But I tried taking Delta lately for better flight times...and it's a compromise. On 4 out of my last 6 flights, either the Wifi didn't work, or the TV's didn't work. And it's nice to have the TV's on the back of the seats....but they pause whatever you're watching constantly for: the safety message, the Delta commercial, a message from the captain, an update on the flight, or that we're landing soon. So pick a show that's 30 minutes shorter than your flight!
And that's why I miss SW. Smilie

Tried a few random dates. Because it only applies to base fare discount rate, not worth for any of the non-basic economy fares.

Might be worth if you search for a lot of dates though

Looks like I missed out by a day. The promo code worked for my same flight on 8/4, but I'm flying on 8/3. 🙃 All fares were discounted so the promo isn't limited to basic economy.

Good deal. I booked some upcoming flights with points last time they had a sale. Will save 500 points per ticket by canceling and rebooking.

just use the low fare calendar view, it will show you by month.

Oldest trick in the book. They inflate the price 40% more before you apply the coupon. The final price is the same as regular price. No deal.

He's talking about the discount code. For example without the code it costs $150. If you add in the code it costs $200 - $50 discount = $150.

He's talking about the code. If you remove the code it costs $150. If you add in the code it costs $200 and then - $50 from promotion = $150.

If you are lucky enough to be on a flight with their new seat design, there is a phone/tablet holder on the back of the headrest ahead of you, along with USB-A and USB-C ports, that allows you to set the angle of your device. The placement of the seatback TVs, but with the convenience of using your own device, likely with your own wireless ANC headphones, and none of the interruptions you mentioned. Of course, in 8 legs flown so far this year, I am only 1 for 8 being on a flight with these updated seats but they are an upgrade.

It was about 3 years ago, they had winter specials for 79 dollars each way to CA to hawaii.
