Community Reviews

This Total Wireless Galaxy S25 FE offer stands out for the chance to get a factory unlocked U1 model that works with physical SIM or eSIM on major US carriers right out of the box. The strongest appeal is the unlocked hardware, with reports of Metro, AT&T, and foreign SIMs working immediately. The main catch is the confusing pricing and unlock path, since the $195 three month plan, extra service, and 365 days of active service can push the real cost much higher. The UFC promo code also appears inconsistent at checkout, so the deal hinges on getting the U1 model and the expected promo to apply.

You're cooked if you have to travel internationally. Locking for 365 days is very weird concept, it should be max 120 days 🫤
Just called. Someone in the Philippines said "sold out" and only 250 phones were available.

so 3 months of service but will unlock in 365 days....?
No, TotalWireless require active 365 day services to unlock. I got one promotion last year, it was a nightmare. MetroPc will unlock after 1 year, but you have to stay with TotalWireless for an entire year to unlock. The company is also very shady. I posted my experience on Reddit. They blocked me after that and I found out TW owned the sub reddit. Anyone post negative will be blocked.

Can we downgrade the plan to 25 byo?
No, you can't. The $25 plan is only for new customer who bring their own phone. I had a phone with them and would like to downgrade. After couple conversations with different CSR, the only plan I can get was either $50 per month full plan or $10 stay-in-connect plan which only includes text & call. That $10 has 0 internet access and you can't purchase data.

might as well pay $580 at mint mobile for the newest/latest galaxy S26 + 1 year unlimited service included.

unlimited plan that includes hotspot for 1 year and automatically unlocks after the plan is up.
Please note that you need to add additional $60 for mint when making decision. Mint charge one time activation fee and some kind of unclassified charges. Actual charge will be vary.

I bought it during last year's Black Friday sale, and it was the U1 unlocked model.

Feels more like a violation of the potential customer. Too much required.

The carrier must be active for 365 days to unlock the line. Can we port out in middle or after the 3 months complete
Has TW stopped giving out the U1 model?

I bought three S25 FEs from TW back in April (two in-store, one online) using a port-in offer. They were all U1s. I was able to use Metro SIMs right out of the box, and even a local SIM when I traveled to Mexico

365 days of active service is required to unlock the phone.
Damn, this is a whole 180 from their unlock policy last year which has to do w/ them lobbying the current Trump admin to reverse Biden-era FCC mandates which were contingent w/ Verizon's acquisition of Tracfone, smfh:

So rather than allowing you to wait 365 days from the date of activation to network unlock the phone, you basically have to have active service continuously for 365 days before Total will approve the phone to be unlocked. This is freaking BS. The only reason I'd even be remotely interested in this deal is if I wanted a cheap phone to use for testing, but to add insult to injury, it doesn't even contain a Snapdragon 8 Elite, but rather Samsung's in-house chip, the Exynos 2400, smfh.

Just received mine and it is u1 version. Tried a foreign sim and it is accepted with ATT network. It is not bad but I think the dxomark for s25 fe is low even compared to s23 fe. So I may not keep it.

Does u1 version work on Verizon if you have a physical verizon Sim?
