Eventually, I swapped back the factory system and put a cheapo wireless CarPlay system like this one. It's been running well for the last few years. It's a big screen with good resolution and does everything one would expect. It connects immediately, and most importantly, its extremely bright screen and angle/location of installation made it so one can make out stuff in bright sunlight. The backup camera is so much better than the in-built one in the car. Not only does it have higher resolution, it seems to adapt better to varying light conditions. And if the unit ever fails, it's not that expensive to replace. I just have to swap out the head unit without wiring anything. Yes, it looks ugly compared to an in-built system, but the trade-off is worth it.
Don't worry about the brand. I went crazy researching various options in the market when I bought one for my wife. There are only a few models in the market and various 'companies' are just selling the same rebadged variant. Many of the 'companies' play fast and loose with the claimed specs. Don't fall for that. Look at various variants on Amazon, and if the picture is the same for a product from another company, you're buying the same product. The specs will be the same. Pricing varies from vendor to vendor based on reviews. If somebody's listing gets a lot of reviews their price will creep up. The same product form another vendor might be cheaper if they just listed it. You get the idea.

This wireless CarPlay and Android Auto screen stands out for easy navigation, bright daylight visibility, and flexible audio routing through Bluetooth, AUX, FM, or the built in speaker. The dash cam and auto dimming add value on the 9.26 inch model, and the backup camera image is described as sharper than many factory units. The main drawback is Android Auto reliability, with repeated disconnect reports on newer phones, though firmware or app based fixes have restored stable connections for some setups. It is a practical add on if you want a simpler upgrade than a full head unit.
Updating firmware or applying an Android Auto fix can improve connection reliability.
Hands-free calling works very well at the listed price point.
The screen can be extremely bright and readable in bright sunlight.
The setup can route video to the screen while audio stays on the car's built-in Bluetooth system.
Android Auto can disconnect repeatedly, including mid-route, which can be frustrating and unsafe.
Promo code F8ZPV5GD can fail to apply even after trying multiple platforms and Prime accounts.
Android Auto audio behavior can be overridden, preventing earbuds from working when Android Auto is on.
The display may look washed out with a blue tone and lacks an adjustment option for color or contrast.

I've been using the lammto display listed on sale in the OP and my audio works perfectly fine on my cars speakers and my earphones in the car.
The display has an audio audio output setting where it lets you stay connected to the display but then it instructs you to connect the BT audio from your phone directly to your cars Bluetooth. So far as I've used it, no audio issues whatsoever.
I've not tested FM, AUX settings though as those don't apply to my setup.
