When these apps ask you to tip for takeout, all it is is businesses wanting to socially subsidize more of their employees' wages in a way that redirects their employees' frustrations from themselves to customers, instead of paying a livable wage themselves.

All of the cheaper/older or outdated/grandfathered in plans didn't get this free Doordash pass last year.
And every time when I look at the current T-Mobile CEO, I only miss John Legere even more.

When these apps ask you to tip for takeout, all it is is businesses wanting to socially subsidize more of their employees' wages in a way that redirects their employees' frustrations from themselves to customers, instead of paying a livable wage themselves.
Now, you could argue that their hidden fees embedded within the prices on the menu with zero transparency, along with their tip manipulation from 2017-2019, are/were scams, but not the mere existence of "tax + delivery + tip".
