This open box 75 inch Hisense U7 is mainly appealing as a bright, Google TV mini LED set with strong picture quality, HDR, motion handling, and very good viewing angles. The 75 inch model is described as a VA panel, and the U7 is repeatedly framed as brighter and better suited to a bright room than the cheaper U6. The main tradeoff is open box condition, since some units are floor displays with high hours and missing remotes, stands, or packaging. A discounted Geek Squad warranty is often treated as part of the value, especially when the price lands far below new clearance pricing.

Many stores have one each. They are likely display units that have been left on for thousands of hours as they clear out for the 2026 model (U7SF). Idk if it is still the case, but the 75" U7 and U8 TVs had a different panel to the 65" and 85" and supposedly is not as good.
If bby left the TV for every single day sonce it released, all day, every day, it would be about 2200 hours. I dont know a single bby that doesnt shut their tvs off at night though. Best buy has had about 1000 total operating store hours since the release of the TV.

So "thousands of hours" is a bit hyperbolic.

My local one had one "Good" one. Went to check it out. It was the display model -- no box or anything. Not going to pay that much for a display tv. Those things run a lot. Even with the 5 year warranty, you are pushing over $700 for it.
Same, had no stand or remote. They said none of them basically had remotes or stands, what the hell do they do with them, how hard would it be to put them in a bag with a label for the model number.

OLED would be far superior. No led can match OLED on contrast which is the biggest factor in perceived picture quality. Only go for an led if you absolutely need something very bright, and you really need to make sure you get one that can get bright, cheap ones usually don't. like I was considering this for an outdoor tv since my budget led right now can't get bright enough to break through the reflected glare during middle of the day. Or if you watch a lot of cable news and don't want to deal with burn in. Even a B2 would be better any led tv.

This scored a 72 out of 100 and was recommended by Consumer Reports. Rated excellent for picture quality and HDR. Very good for viewing angle and motion blur. Just good for sound quality.

Stock is going fast. I am not too worried about store displays. Yes, they have been left on and put thru the ringer but on the flip side weeds out panels that die a few months after purchase. If you want one don't look a gift horse in the mouth. After these are gone you'll be paying twice as much for a 2026 model.

I agree, but it's reflected in the price you pay. No remote typically gets marked down to fair, so $50 less, and pushes warranty cost down another $10, OEM remote on eBay is $15 used, so you save $45 for the hassle. Stand is another story but I think most mount this size. The one piece stands can be quite bulky so not surprised they toss them.

Huh?
We're are these numbers coming from?
24hours in a day times 365 days = 8760 hours in a year.
This has been out about 1 full year. BestBuy is generally open about 11 hours per day.
11x365=4015 hours per year of display on time if on from open to close.
Now it could be more or less depending on how things are set up.
Some products (not this exact TV) have 2 or 3 years of display life and so could have over 10k hours on them.

Best Buy does not leave their TVs on overnightIf you want to be more specific you would pull the days out that the stores are closed as well( holidays)At the end of the day the discount from the selling price is the justification I would highly suggest buying the discounted Geek Squad warranty with these

No. Their open boxes are hit or miss. I'd be mad if I drove all of that way and it was messed up or something. Just buy new.

The one in my area still has the LG M3 on display. That thing has crazy burn-in. They wouldn't be able to give that thing away for free if they wanted to.

I don't even why would you compare this "has been" tv to an OLED especially a C5 model. It's an insult because I have a C5 77 inch
