It does feel wrong but the technology is simple enough now a days. Like putting a $1200 smartphone into a $20-30 case will give you a lot of protection and spending more doesn't mean better. I don't know about this model, Rosewill is decent but I have no experience with their mounts. However you see guys leave reviews on Amazon for similar $20-$40 mounts on their ultra wide and heavy $1000 monitors.
I'm in the same boat as you with a $500 19lb monitor and a cheap $22-26 Ha*** mount that made it front page a few days ago. Not fully trusting it yet so keeping it lower on my desk with a big rubber mouse pad covering the entire desk in case the mount suddenly falls. Probably for a couple weeks until I fully trust it.
