The Imperial used to be made by Schrade. I have an old black handle just like this. Its been a good knife, I wonder if they dumped the Imperial line off to China.

They did. This is made in China. Look at the reviews of the broken knives. Doesn't look like this is even worth the asking price.

Is it stainless? It could be 1095, but these are 7Cr17.

I like this form factor, but there's a sub-$10 7Cr17 knife here every day that doesn't have questionable heat treatment of the backspring for an Achilles heel. Amazon shows me the large black IMP22L is $7.95, and the reviews seem a little better, but I don't want that size.
