I like this form factor, but there's a sub-$10 7Cr17 knife here every day that doesn't have questionable heat treatment of the backspring for an Achilles heel. Amazon shows me the large black IMP22L is $7.95, and the reviews seem a little better, but I don't want that size.
The name Shrade no longer means what it once did. If you have one of their old offerings, there's a good chance you have a decent knife. But now, not so much.
Bottomline: It's only $6. It's kinda hard to have buyer's remorse over something that costs the equivalent of a gallon of gas. [ in California anyway, you poor bastids ]
They were never meant to look like expensive rose perfume.
